Contemporary screen work
Professional, grounded and restrained.

Phil Bedworth is a Yorkshire born British Australian actor based in Perth, working across stage and screen.
His casting range centres on intelligent, grounded men with authority, restraint or an underlying edge: investigators, senior professionals, establishment figures, fathers and morally complicated men. His work also carries a strong vein of dry, understated comedy.
Recent stage roles include Otto Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, Harry Bright in Mamma Mia!, Macbeth in Macbeth and Bruce Niles in The Normal Heart.
Alongside his acting work, Phil brings specialist practical experience in advanced driving, firearms, tactical environments and operational procedure, adding physical confidence and authenticity to relevant screen roles.

Professional, grounded and restrained.

Otto Frank

Alder Hoch
Phil's natural screen territory includes detectives, senior police officers, military figures, executives, government officials, professionals, fathers and patriarchs.
His dramatic work tends towards emotional restraint and contained intensity rather than overt performance, with an ability to shift between warmth, authority and controlled menace.
His comedy sits at the opposite edge of the same quality: understated, intelligent and dry.
